We’re thrilled to share that this September Thomasina Miers, award-winning chef, food writer and co-founder of Wahaca, will be taking over the Good Food app with a collection of seven recipes created just for app subscribers.
Drawing on her lifelong love of Mexican cuisine and the flavours she discovered on her travels, Thomasina has crafted dishes that celebrate the ingredients and traditions at the heart of Mexico’s rich food culture (think smoky chillies, bright citrus, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant herbs). Each recipe has been designed with the home cook in mind: full of bold, vibrant flavours, but easy enough to make in your own kitchen.
Among the highlights are a comforting black bean soup topped with late summer tomato salsa, and an ancho chilli and mushroom lasagne – a clever twist on a classic that’s as hearty as it is flavourful. There’s a glazed aubergine that brings deep, nutty heat with the help of Thomasina's salsa macha.

These seven dishes showcase Thomasina's ability to blend authenticity with accessibility, giving every home cook the tools to create food that feels occasion-worthy yet unfussy. Whether you’re new to Mexican cooking or already in love with its robust flavours, Thomasina's collection will bring fresh dinner inspiration straight to your table.
Download the Good Food app this September for just 99p for three months and discover Thomasina’s brand-new recipes, only available on the Good Food app.
