September may have only just started, but Christmas food ranges are landing thick and fast on supermarket shelves. Following M&S' big Christmas launch last week, it's now Morrisons' turn to unveil its 2026 range of festive products. Alongside its familiar seasonal staples, the supermarket has revealed a tempting collection of new party food, premium mains, showstopping desserts and festive drinks.
The food in the range feels extra-special, without making hosting unnecessarily complicated – something we're very much in favour of. From Market Street treats to deluxe The Best and Signature Collection offerings, Morrisons is aiming to cover the whole season, from spontaneous movie nights to the Big Day itself. These are our picks of the best of the 290 new products...
New Morrisons Christmas party food
The fish & chip baskets immediately caught our eye – delicate bites of battered mini fish fillets on a bed of mushy peas and crisp golden potato, putting a playful spin on Britain’s favourite takeaway. They'd be ideal for a festive buffet, especially with tartare sauce or a squeeze of lemon on the side.
For something a little more grown-up, the mini scallops in shells come in crisp pastry shells with creamy lemon and prosecco sauce, finished with regato cheese and a parsley crumb. They’re the sort of canapé that looks far more impressive than the effort required to serve it.
Equally irresistible-sounding are the brie wedges with cranberry dip. These cheesy treats are golden, crisp and gooey, with a tangy dip to cut through the richness.
Vegetarians haven’t been forgotten either, with new mini veg tacos offering a fun sharing starter option, filled with spiced beans and vegetables. We’d pile these onto a grazing board with guacamole, salsa and soured cream for a colourful alternative to the usual sausage rolls.
The roast dinner gets a glow-up
We all know the turkey gets top billing, but Morrisons’ other inventive mains might have you looking at alternatives.
Our favourite – the new chestnut, apple & thyme giant pig in blanket – takes a familiar side dish and gives it a substantial size upgrade. With a stuffing-filled centre, it's wrapped in smoked streaky bacon and packed with herby flavours. It would make an excellent centrepiece for anyone who believes the trimmings are the best part of Christmas.
Another standout is the potato, wild garlic & camembert melt. Crispy golden potato is layered with fragrant wild garlic and melting camembert, creating the sort of indulgent starter we’d happily eat in place of a traditional roast potato.
For the main event, highlights include a turkey breast joint stuffed with pork, spiced apples, cranberries and smoked chestnut stuffing, as well as a 21-day matured beef wing rib with bone marrow and fresh herb basting butter.
Trimmings that could steal the show
When it comes to Christmas dinner, we're all about the sides. Often the silent star of the plate, Morrisons' range of creative tastes and textures provide the perfect way to round off your main.
Expect streaky bacon-wrapped sage & onion stuffing parcels with crispy edges, plus Seville orange & honey glazed carrot wedges for a sweet, citrussy lift. And, if regular pigs in blankets never quite fill the plate, Morrisons' XL long chipolatas are made for those who believe more is definitely more.
New festive desserts
Although we're partial to classic Christmas pudding and mince pies, the dazzling alternative desserts in this line-up are worth leaving some room for, too.
Morrisons has combined two classic British puddings in its showstopping sticky toffee pudding trifle – expect layers of creamy vanilla custard and plenty of toffee sauce. M&S launched a similar pud last year, so we'll be interested to see if that makes another appearance this year to compare the two.
For an even more dramatic centrepiece, the new Signature Collection chocolate orange star pairs quality Belgian chocolate with an orange centre made with Valencia and Seville oranges. It's a must-try for all self-respecting chocoholics!
We’re also intrigued by the limoncello & clementine Christmas pudding, which gives the traditional pud a bright, citrussy twist – and the playful triple-chocolate snowman dessert is sure to be a hit with kids.
Those looking for a gluten-free option need not miss out. This year's range features a beautifully creamy Madagascan white chocolate and vanilla cheesecake with a white chocolate and vanilla filling on a golden gluten-free biscuit base. We suggest topping with a tangy berry compote for the perfect contrast.
Festive drinks to match
Mulled wine, mulled amaretto and a winter bramble cocktail are all on offer this year, and if you're longing for Christmas market vibes without leaving the house, we'd definitely suggest a mug of the mulled amaretto – serve it warm with orange slices and cinnamon.
With so many new products arriving, Morrisons is making a convincing case for starting the festive food shop early. Our shortlist already includes the giant pig in blanket, fish & chip baskets and sticky toffee pudding trifle – although we suspect the chocolate orange star might find its way into the fridge as well!
